Bio

I have worked in Early Childhood since 1993 and for the Woodson YMCA since 1995. During this time, I have held many different roles including Lead Teacher, Assistant Teacher and also held two Administration positions one being Child Care Director for 8 years. In 2014 when our daughter came into our family I stepped down to work part time as a Preschool Assistant. This allowed me to be home with her most days and this time I will treasure forever. I have been on staff at FCA as a teacher’s aide since 2019 when our daughter started in kindergarten. It was wonderful to be working with a like-minded staff who prioritized working for God’s glory. I have worked in the Pre K and now currently with kindergarten.

Testimony

I was fairly young when I came to know Christ as my Savior and as far as I can remember I have felt His presence in my life. However I have certainly had my ups and downs in being obedient to God. I am so grateful that He kept pulling me closer to him by showing me my sin. During the last 18 years I feel my relationship with God has truly grown. My prayer life has greatly improved and I have come to truly enjoy my conversations with Him. I have also challenged myself to be more actively reading my Bible. The lens I try to look at my life through has me more focused on what God’s will is for my life, instead of how I think my life should go. My husband and I have two children, Hunter is 24 years old married to Alivia and our daughter Delaney is 11 years old and attends FCA. It is a privilege to see how God has and is refining me through our children. I am grateful for God’s grace in my life and that He continues to show me how much I need Him.
