About FAITH

Founded in 1993, Faith Christian Academy is proud to serve as a leading Christian educational institution for students from K4 through 12th grade in the greater Wausau area. Our mission is to foster academic, spiritual, physical, and social development with excellence across all grade levels.

At Faith Christian Academy, we are committed to providing a comprehensive education that nurtures the whole student—body, mind, and spirit. Rooted in biblical truth, our program integrates strong academic preparation with opportunities for spiritual growth and the development of Christlike character. Students are equipped with the critical thinking skills, leadership abilities, and personal integrity they need to thrive both during their high school years and in the paths God leads them to afterward. Our goal is to ensure every graduate is prepared, confident, and well-grounded for success in college, career, and life.

Our Mission & Vision

Our vision is to equip young men and women to impact their world for God’s glory.  So whether it’s in a K4 class, or a higher level class for our seniors, the reference point for education will be God’s Word.

It is our mission to partner with parents in providing an academic and spiritual education that inspires students to conform to the image of Christ, equipping them to discover truth through the lens of Scripture, and developing their potential for future endeavors.

Statement of Faith

We believe that there is one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe that the Bible is God’s written Word, and is therefore the supreme and final authority in all matters on which it speaks. The sole basis of Faith Christian Academy’s beliefs is the Bible. It is upon this that the policies and procedures of the handbook are based.

It is the firm belief of the Board of Directors that this school has been raised up by Christ to be a Christian non-denominational school operating in agreement with the following statement:

THE WORD OF GOD—The Bible is the Word of God, inerrant, infallible, and the sole authority for faith and practice.

THE TRINITY—We believe there is one living and true God, eternally existing in three persons: God the Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. We believe these are equal in every Divine perfection, and that they execute distinct but harmonious offices in the work of creation, providence, and redemption.

GOD THE FATHER—We believe in God the Father, an infinite, personal Spirit, perfect in holiness, wisdom, power, justice, righteousness, truth, and love. He mercifully concerns Himself in the affairs of men. He hears and answers prayer. He saves from sin and death all who come to Him through Jesus Christ by faith.

JESUS CHRIST—We believe in Jesus Christ, God’s only begotten Son, perfect God and perfect man, conceived by the Holy Spirit. We believe in His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles, and teachings. We believe in His substitutionary death of atonement at Calvary, His bodily resurrection, His ascension into heaven, His perpetual intercession for His people, and His visible return to earth.

HOLY SPIRIT—We believe in the Holy Spirit who convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment, and comes to regenerate, sanctify, and empower all who place their faith in Jesus Christ. We believe that the Holy Spirit indwells every believer in Christ, and that He is an abiding helper, teacher, and guide.

REGENERATION—We believe that all men are sinners by nature and by choice and are, therefore, under condemnation. We believe that those who repent of their sins and trust in Jesus Christ as Savior are made alive spiritually, and by the empowering of the Holy Spirit are enabled to live godly lives.

THE CHURCH—We believe in the universal church which is a living spiritual body where Christ is the head and all regenerated persons are members. We believe in the local church, consisting of a company of believers in Jesus Christ and assembled for worship, work and fellowship. We believe that God has laid upon the members of the local church the primary task of glorifying God, and giving the Gospel of Jesus Christ to a lost world.

JUDGMENT—We believe in the personal and visible return of the Lord Jesus Christ, the final judgment, the eternal joy of the righteous, and the endless suffering of the wicked.

"Faith Christian Academy since 2016. We learned of Faith through their partnership with the local homeschooling community. We have taken advantage of Faith's part time options which were a great supplement to homeschooling. We are now excited to have our 3 children as full-time students at Faith. We love the Abeka curriculum in the elementary school and the dual credit options for high school are such a great opportunity along with a variety of extracurricular activities. Nothing can compete, however, with the care and guidance given by the teachers and staff at Faith. They share Christ's love with every student and prioritize character and faith development as much as academic success. Thank you, Faith Christian Academy!"

"Our family found Faith Christian Academy through a Google search after moving to Wausau from out of state. As we transitioned our four children from being homeschooled into a classroom setting, it was very important to us that the class sizes were small. We were also impressed how the administration stressed that while education was important, their top priority is building faith and helping students grow into Christian leaders as they age. The teachers have been committed to keeping connected with us as parents and making sure our children feel encouraged and loved. It feels great to know that our children are receiving a Christ-centered education, being prayed over daily, and that they are developing friendships within the warm family-like environment that is Faith Christian Academy!"

"In a broken world, we are thankful for a school that will walk alongside our family and help us teach our children Biblical truths. We know that when they leave Faith, our children will have a strong foundation for their faith and be able to share the gospel message with others."

"We are so thankful for Faith. As a parent, you want to see your children thrive. You want to see them cared for, loved and have a sense of belonging. You want them to love Jesus and others. You want them to learn the truth of scripture and how to apply that in their life. As a parent you have opportunities to help them with these things, but you need others to come alongside you and help in this goal. Faith Christian Academy has provided exactly that for the past decade with our family and does that now more than ever. A solid Christian education is priceless. A faith family with Godly leadership, teachers and staff that love on your kids and point them closer to Christ every day is invaluable. We are so grateful and blessed to be a part of the FAITH family!”
