It was in college where I began leading worship and writing original songs, influenced by a songwriting class I took with Professor Gloria Gaither.
I have taught high school math of all levels in large public schools in California and Washington, as well as volunteered for math enrichment programs here in local Wausau elementary schools and tutored individual math students.
Additionally, I have had music teaching experiences in my local church, leading Christmas choirs and youth worship times and writing / leading / recording music for VBS programs. Recently I participated in recording a worship EP and a VBS EP with my local church.

It is one of my favorite things to worship with other believers of all ages through music, and to teach others to enjoy it too. It is one of my favorite things to foster confidence and enjoyment in learning math concepts, particularly when a student has been intimidated or frustrated with the subject in the past – both of us, teacher and student, fueled by the sweet equipping of the Lord for the task at hand!
Testimony
I praise God that I grew up in a home where Jesus was worshipped and taught. I accepted Christ as a young age, and my relationship with and dependence on Him has deepened with time, as I have experienced comfort, guidance, answers to prayer, conviction, and longing for Jesus. I married my junior high school sweetheart after college and have been blessed with six amazing kids who have taught me much, humbled me, and encouraged me, as well as kept me crazy hopping busy. Marriage and parenting has nudged me constantly over the last few decades to keep casting all my cares on my Savior and has refined me to keep becoming more like Jesus.
