Bio
I discovered I loved teaching as a 16-year-old teaching fourth grade Sunday school. Over the years I have had the opportunity to teach different levels in a variety of settings including church, private and public schools, museums, libraries, scouting, and living history re-enacting. My hobbies include reading and history. I love reading the Bible, Christian fiction and nonfiction and history. My husband and I also enjoy visiting museums, historic sites, as well as watching history documentaries.
Testimony
I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior during Good News Club at Mrs. Bement’s house on Westmore Ave in Lombard, Illinois. I always loved Sunday school, church, and church programs, but never realized I could have a personal relationship with Jesus until I was an adult, and I read the Bible cover to cover for the first time. Everything changed. Life didn’t get easier, but the Lord was with me as I met life’s challenges, including my husband’s illness and death after 23 years of marriage.
God continues to direct my path as I met and married John Humphrey. We are co-directors of a correspondence Bible school. We are also trusting the Lord as I begin this new and exciting chapter at Faith Christian Academy.
