Bio

My heart is to impact the next generation for Christ and to leave a godly legacy that will endure for generations. This calling became clear when I became a mom. When our oldest started school in Iowa, I joined a group of moms who met weekly to pray for our children and their schools. As our younger two entered school, I continued praying with other moms, and began volunteering regularly at our neighborhood school, building meaningful relationships with teachers, students and families.

When we moved to Wisconsin in 2022, we prayed for God’s guidance on where to put down roots as we sought to live intentionally and authentically in our community.

God led us to FAITH Christian Academy, where our three kids go to school, and to a church home in Marshfield, where we serve in children’s ministry, prayer ministry, and as small group leaders. My husband and I also help coach the Wausau-area youth mountain bike team, which allows us to stay active as a family. We also enjoy snowmobiling and fat-biking in the winter. In all these things, we strive to live out our faith in everyday life.

I’m grateful to be part of a community that partners with families to raise up students who love Jesus, live boldly for Him, and who invest in the next generation for His glory.

Testimony

I grew up in church, knowing about God and living what looked like a “good” life. But inside, I was spiritually empty. I knew of God, but I didn’t know Him personally.

In the summer of 1994, before high school, I was overwhelmed by pressure to succeed academically and athletically. At church camp, during an altar call, I surrendered my life to Christ. That night, Jeremiah 29:11 became my life verse, reminding me that God had a good and hopeful plan for my future—and that I didn’t have to control everything.

Though I was saved at that point, I still struggled to understand what a personal relationship with God looked like as a teenager. I saw Him as distant and demanding, and I lived in fear of disappointing Him.

Everything changed after my sophomore year of college. I met believers whose faith was full of joy and freedom—something I lacked. I asked God to show me the difference, and He did. Through Athletes in Action (a ministry of Cru) and a Bible study called Experiencing God, I encountered Him in a real and personal way for the first time.

Since then, I’ve seen God faithfully at work in every season of life. In 2022, our family moved from eastern Iowa to Wausau to join Him in what He’s doing in north-central Wisconsin. My greatest desire is for others to encounter His presence, power, and purpose in their own lives!
