Bio
I love inspiring students to seek God’s character. I like to bring creative, inspiring ways to learning that is engaging, challenging and supportive. Some of my hobbies are binge reading books on breaks, playing volleyball and assistant coaching Middle School girls and boys basketball. I enjoy music and integrate it often in class. I have enjoyed also having purposeful tech integration. My husband John is a contractor, and we have 5 children at FAITH. God allowed my older three children to come to FCA and one week in, it became clear that FCA was special. I have seen how FCA has spiritually and academically impacted my own family and it inspired me to want to be a part of the mission to impact students for the Gospel and God’s glory while training young men and women to go out in His name.
Testimony
I came to my understanding of a need for a Savior when I was 18 before my senior year of High school. God revealed Himself to me through a testimony of another. I had no scope for God, but he opened my eyes to Him. I became aware of how being a sinner separated me from God and that my good works were meaningless to a Holy God. I couldn’t earn favor, but He provided the only way through Jesus. I was humbled and grateful for His provision of Christ, what I desperately needed. He continues to help me depend fully on Him for His grace daily. Since 2002, I have grown in my love for Christ through reading His word, prayer, and being disciplined by many people at certain stages of my life. 1 Samuel 12:24, “Only fear the Lord and serve him faithfully with al your heart. For consider what great things he has done for you” has been my theme these 20+ years of walking with Christ.
