Bio
My family moved here from southern New Jersey two years ago. I have always been intrigued by the field of education. I grew up as a staff kid at my school, always being around or helping my mom in her classroom. I thought that one day I might become a teacher, but it didn’t happen right away for me. My college degrees are in music and elementary education, but right out of college, I worked in office administration, taught piano, and from 2014-2021, I was a stay-at-home mom. This will be my fifth year of teaching. I enjoy getting to know the students in my class and being able to impact their lives for Christ. It is a so exciting to see them grow in their knowledge of Christ as well as other subjects throughout the school year. Each student has special talents and abilities, and it is a joy to discover what makes each student special.
I was born into a Christian family, with godly parents who were on staff at a Christian school and involved in a Bible-preaching church near Tampa, Florida. I attended this school from elementary to high school graduation, and I was blessed to have heard the life-changing Gospel of God’s love from a very young age. Looking back, I realize how my life was significantly shaped by having the Bible woven into my education and daily school activities. I formed solid convictions and godly friendships that have impacted my life for good and put me on the path to making my faith my own and continuing to serve God.
I had heard the Gospel countless times from a very young age, but it wasn’t until I was 11 years old that I was convicted of my need to make this faith personal. After high school, I attended Bob Jones University, a Christian university in Greenville, South Carolina. It was here that I met my husband, and we were married in 2009. My husband is a pastor, and we have the privilege of serving at First Baptist Church in Medford. I play piano on my church worship team, serve with the children’s ministries and various other roles as a pastor’s wife at my church. I enjoy traveling and have currently been to 40 states and 6 countries. I’m hoping to add more this year!
