Bio
I have a teaching gift and a degree in Education. I have taught in both public and private schools. I also enjoy teaching Adult Sunday school classes, teaching children’s programming, leading Bible studies, preaching the Word, organizing small group, and cohosting a weekly Christian theology podcast called the Reclamation: Reclaiming Gospel Clarity. Teaching Bible and Spanish at FCA makes sense for me and is an extension of my calling to preach the Gospel, teach the Word, make disciples, and equip others to know and love Jesus. I love the school culture of FCA and working in a Christian environment with small class sizes, the freedom to pray and integrate faith in the classroom along with a focus on the Great Commission brings me great joy.
Testimony
I was raised in an Anabaptist church without knowledge of the true Gospel. In college I heard the Gospel that Jesus had died for my sin, was raised again for my justification, and that through simple faith in him I could have eternal life as a free gift apart from works and I believed.
I have been in a variety of churches and traditions since becoming a Christian, but have settled as a Reformed Christian in the Anglican tradition. I love the Scriptures and church history and am particularly interested in the history of Christian doctrine.
Over the years the Lord has drawn me into deeper dependence on him and stronger confidence in him. Jesus is the great mystery of our faith and I never tire of beholding him and growing in understanding of his person and work. His grace and mercy are inexhaustible. Knowing him and becoming like him is the joy of living. I love sharing the hope of Christ with others and am pursuing ordained pastoral ministry.
